Well, it's done. The price of an iPhone 5 with the most hard drive I can get just plunged (relatively) at Virgin Mobile's website, as I'd hoped, and I gave up on my bricking Android at last. My new iPhone, paid off in three installments, will arrive in a couple of days. Here's a BuzzFeed video on 30 things a smartphone-laden society apparently no longer needs:
