Well, I finally got an actual x-ray and doctor's diagnosis. According to the spine specialist, after she put me through all kinds of physical tests re range of motion and such, I have a cervical herniated disc - in other words, a literal pain in my neck. The PT home exercises I'm doing are fine, but my therapist will need to change the in-person manipulation somewhat. In any case, at last I have a road toward healing; let's hope the trip to England doesn't worsen it. (First purchase, a travel pillow for my neck!) Meanwhile, apparently it's international cat day or somesuch, and shark week and all that, so here you go:
