The orthopedic doctor's diagnosis is plantar fascitis, which sounds a bit like Mr. Peanut goose-stepping, but at least I know what to do going forward (as it were). The leg and foot are about 98% okay now. Maybe by next week I can attempt to leap about like Sticky Man:
