We always celebrate Datsa's birthday on Hallowe'en, as I was told when I got him that he was born in the autumn. This past Monday he turned 19, and Robin snapped the yearly picture of me and my kitty together:

He isn't really struggling, he's purring, he just doesn't like to look in the camera (unlike his 14½-year-old sister who adores posing). It took me a few tries to get a shot of him where I could actually see his eyes:
