A nice, needed, restful day, and tomorrow we hope to travel into Bear Mountain and take in some fall scenery. I must admit, a lot of this desire is fueled by Ken Burns' documentary on national parks; we're up to episode five as I type. So much of it makes me wish we had more people of vision in power these days. But times change. For instance, certain books would have very different titles if written today, muses the author of Your Monkey Called (via Henry at Crooked Timber).
