Slept all morning; I guess my body needed it. Of course, staying up until almost 1 AM trying to sit through 1776 because it was finally being shown on TCM on the correct date (albeit with an 11 PM start time), even though I also own and watch the DVD every year on Independence Day, probably didn't help. I could only last through "Cool Conservative Men," my favorite number, turning the TV off right after McNair's punch line "How'd you like to borrow a dollar from one of them?" because the poignant and wrenching song that follows, "Mama Look Sharp," is hard to take even when fully awake, but it still did the damage. So clothes-shopping plans are probably scuttled for today, although I may still attempt to do some food shopping if I wake up enough to trust myself behind the wheel.
