BHM Post of the Day

Via Michele at You Will Anyway, it should come as no surprise that George W. Bush remarked, "I don't know anything about the 1965 Voting Rights Act" in a meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus (for the first time as a group in nearly four years). It's only "generally considered the most successful piece of civil rights legislation ever adopted by the United States Congress," according to the description on the Department of Justice's website (which I couldn't find so maybe they removed it after this article came out?). So I wouldn't look for him to mention something so insignificant in tonight's SOTU speech either...
