Well, I didn't get my dream job, so I guess I can now tell you what it was 'cause there's nothing left to jinx. I'd interviewed to be the exec assistant to the CEO and the General Counsel of Village Voice Media. As mentioned previously the HR person (Mihlee Robinson) and I got along famously, but I guess there was just something that didn't spark with the GC. From everything I saw and heard, the Voice is not only a terrific newspaper but a great place to work, so if anyone else out there ever has a chance at a job with them, I'd say go for it. And tell Mihlee I said hi. Thanks for everything, Mihlee! As for me, I'm about as upset and heartbroken as I knew I would be, so forgive any erratic posts that may follow. At this point it doesn't look like our office is moving out of NYC as soon as I'd dreaded, so I have a bit more time now and it's now back to Monster and CareerBuilder and HotJobs and asking other bloggers to mention my continued job search if they're so inclined and check out my résumé by clicking on the sidebar...
