Changes

So the first change, which is really a reinstatement, is Robin and I egging each other on to go on the exercise bike. I can't manage more than 20 minutes yet, but he's up to 45 and trying to double that. I've also decided to forgo the protective tube I've been putting around my left hallux, as it seems to be doing more harm than good lately in terms of the soreness, so whenever that happens with any type of brace I do without until I need it again. The real test will be walking Manhattan sidewalks next Tuesday, but in the meantime I'm curious as to how I'll do over the weekend walking around the supermarket and to and from the farmers market. Also, not really stressing over what to write about Pen-Elayne's upcoming 23rd blogiversary (I began it on 7 September 2002) as I always come up with something. Robin's packed away the old air conditioner to be discarded, so I've been able to move around a bit in the library and I've dragged some older graphic novels that I never did get through into the bedroom, as I'll be through with my newer comics in the next couple days. I finally had a relatively slow and easy workday, my last early departure (although I have a medical appointment next week so I'm leaving early then, but that's PTO rather than firm-led). And it hasn't been warm enough to warrant air conditioning, which is terrific except for our neighbors; tonight it's a party next door outside our bedroom and office windows. Their taste in music is commendable, but if I'm not invited I don't really want to be an unwilling participant. So out come the earplugs if I'm to sleep! Still, I'm excited for the coming autumn, as I always am.
