Wrapping Up the Week

I caught up enough on job stuff that I could afford to take a somewhat longer lunch to get my hair cut, pick up some meds for Robin, and then take my beloved out in the pouring rain to a sushi lunch which we timed perfectly as the rain had all but stopped for the drive back home. I feel much better shorn and showered, looking forward to seeing Mom tomorrow for Mother's Day weekend (no way would I venture into NJ on a Sunday and face the traffic heading back to the GW Bridge!), where we will arrive with card and present in hand. The hairdressers all agree, I'm lucky to still have my mom around, even as diminished as she is, and I cannot gainsay them.
