Clean as a Whistle

Yesterday and today the "reading room" was my main focal point, as the tensions of the week spilled out along with other things, but I've now showered all that stuff off my body and out of my head so I'm all set for a visit to Mom tomorrow. I'd initially planned on it today, but my lack of sleep last night coupled with the on and off rain (and it really came down around 6 PM or so!) necessitated a change of plans. Should be fairly easy heading back home over the GWB tomorrow as I'm guessing many Yankee fans will already be at the Stadium (the Yanks having cancelled today's game as well in favor of a single-admission double header tomorrow). On the other hand, I'll be missing Liverpool clinching the Premier League title for the 2024-25 season. Ah, the sacrifices one makes to miss, you know, a sportsball game.
