A Soupçon of Soup's On

It looks to be a nasty weekend weather-wise, which led to my impromptu decision, as we set out to shop, to buy a bunch of root vegetables and a cold rotisserie chicken to make some chicken soup. I forgot to pick up herbs, but otherwise the soup came out very nice, and I used two pots (one to boil the bones and the other to strain into, add more broth, and cook the deboned chicken and veg, both of which are now washed and pretty much put away. And I am set for at least the next week as the temps drop. I have feeling I'll need some soup when I get home from visiting Mom tomorrow, the slight snow we got today is all turning to rain.
