Oh, I also mentioned that I went to a fun place last weekend, at which I took photos. Here they are at last. Barry "Ampersand" Deutsch (whom I've known at least 20 years) was in town and invited some blogger and reader friends to lunch, and here's the group shot that Robin was gracious enough to take:
From left to right: Deborah Feldman, Amanda Marcotte (I finally met Amanda, I'm so happy!), Richard Jeffery Newman, Barry, and a terrific young guy named Lewis (or Louis) who's like 19 chronologically but 40 in terms of wisdom and smarts. My back is to the camera, and I really don't like my new shearing, I can't wait for the hair to grow out a bit even if it is grey. Here's another shot, which I like because you can see more of Deborah's lovely punim and Amanda's smiling:
