A few Thanksgiving Day photos, most taken from my brother's backyard deck in Jersey, where the thermometer read 75 degrees Fahrenheit. (When we called Mom around 11 AM her time she told us it was around 46 degrees in Vegas.)
Okay, this one was taken from the end of our U-shaped driveway as we set out. I love how the bright oranges are giving way to deep reds and russet tones.
This is from Jay's deck looking southward. I love the various colors and depths as you go from the bushes in the foreground to the evergreens in the middle ground to the late autumn mix in the background. As Jay lives in a higher elevation we did see a lot of bare trees, but there were still enough pretty colors around to entice.
Jay's shed and some of the forest in back of his house.
I thought this bush was lovely; most of the red is berries but a little bit is leaves.
Naturally, Robin took this one. Majestic, isn't it?
