It's probably past peak now, but I've promised you some fall foliage photos, and here they are at last. The first three were taken last weekend, the others yesterday. As always, you can click on them to see larger versions.
The view from our front stoop (the top step under the canopy). It's gotten even more gorgeous since this was taken.
From the driveway leading to the Palisades Center in Rockland County. The foreground trees may be bare but it's a hell of a vista in the background.
At the corner of Riverdale Avenue and 238th Street.
On 263rd Street right by the corner of Riverdale Avenue.
Fallen leaves in front of the wall boundary of Mount Saint Vincent college. I love the different colors and textures in this photo.
The college has some lovely landscaping.
Here's the same view taken from the other side, as we were waiting for the express bus to take us into Manhattan.
I love the perspective in this one, with the still-green trees in the foreground, the reddish-yellow one in the middle ground and the blue puffy-cloud sky as backdrop.
I managed to get a few nice shots once we were on the Deegan southbound. I guess that's upper Manhattan (East Harlem and such) across the river.
Another shot of the trees bordering the Harlem River. Next up, convention pictures from yesterday!
