Estrogen Month: Salute #1

I'm way too busy and ill and otherwise occupied to even get through all the blog reading I have at present, so I won't be holding the voting for which women on my Bloglines "gals in waiting" subs (the sections marked "Where the Women Bloggers Are") should be added to my sidebar until, well, at least until the Koufax voting is done. But in the meantime, I'll give a plug to Tracy Rolling, who has started a map called Women Who Changed The World. Says Tracy, "My idea for this map is that everyone will add the women who have been important to them. Heroines, role models, mentors, sisters, best friends, and grandmas. Any woman who has changed your world has a place on this map. Some of the women have been added at their birth places, others at places where they worked or lived."

Tracy's instructions on how to add a woman to the map are as follows:

· Register on the site to add places to the map

· Click on "Add Places to this map" right under the map (NOT "add a Place" at the top of the page)

· Find your location by putting an address or just a city and state into the text box or by clicking on the map in the right spot

· Click "next"- Enter some information about the woman- click submit

If only I had that 40-hour day I've been asking for, I could add lots of interesting women...
