Is It Drafty In Here?

I haven't done an NYCBlogger/RNN Question of the Day for awhile, and I should mention that they're getting better. Today's question is Is Iraq Worth a Draft? My response is that, in my opinion, no war in at least the last 40 years is worth instituting a draft. Rich kids always seem to be able to escape drafts. Conscientious objectors have it harder and harder. And the current Resident in Chief has a lovely way of circumventing both domestic and international law to invade whatever country he dang well pleases, against the wishes of a whole helluva lot of American citizens. So no, in particular any war sought by Karl Rove and Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz and the rest of the Cabal in their radical fundamentalist quest to imminentize the eschaton is probably not worth fighting in, much less instituting a draft.
