And While We're On The Subject...
Stuff nobody else seems to mention about the Democratic presidential contenders:
Yes, Dennis Kucinich is goofy-looking, but so's Ross Perot. In fact, I think Kucinich actually looks like a younger version of Perot (who, incidentally, doesn't seem to have announced his 2004 presidential aspirations anywhere - at least anywhere that a Google news search has found - so I'm at a loss to figure out why those rumors are starting to spread).
Okay sure, it was a lovely trifecta for Howard Dean's campaign that he was on the covers of all those magazines, but you know, "Destiny or Disaster?" isn't necessarily the kind of caption you want to brag about.
Ampersand makes a solid argument in favor of progressives supporting the candidate they really want at this stage in the race... and yet no progressive I know seems to want to support a like-minded candidate who isn't white or male. Granted, these two are waaaay longer shots, but I thought that was kind of the point of Ampersand's post in the first place.
And in case anyone's wondering, I haven't yet decided for whom I'd vote in a primary. Oh, and a propos of nothing, if you take Ahnuld's accent, lower it and slow it down just a bit, you get Kissinger. Tons of fun for the entire family.
