Empowering Objectification

I've lost track of how many times I've tried to explain to people my thoughts on why I don't feel women (both real women and female characters) who play to the male gaze and expectations are advancing any sort of feminist objectives of egalitarianism, parity, empowerment, etc. Thanks to Christine Cupaiuolo at Ms. Musings (link at sidebar), I can now point people to her blog entry on this subject, which pretty much covers all the bases I've been trying to.
