Silly Site o' the Day

Today was the first of three consecutive days in the office, which is my plan going forward now that the pandemic and flu transmission rates have gone down (but I'm still masked on the bus and other enclosed places where I can't distance). I have my old spot all set up for maximum comfort, including a cute little USB desk fan that matches my USB mouse (a present from my managing director), and I had meetings with at least five partners, all of whom were very happy to see me. Even the business unit's partner in charge, whom I used to support, needed me for in-person stuff today, and I've become very friendly with the facilities rep on my floor who actually does most of the aforementioned in-person office stuff (coffee maker repair, opening locked conference rooms, disposing of giant empty boxes). As always, the trick isn't to do everything yourself, but to know on whom to call to get things done. I lunched with one of my partners to celebrate her birthday, and it was nice to be back at "my" Manhattan sushi place. Even the homeward-bound bus driver is someone I know from The Before Times. Now I just need to keep up my energy for the next couple in-office days. I mean, I'm no hummingbird after all, or even a hummingbird whisperer:
