Still horrid hot outside, but today was designated as the trip to Rockland to have lunch with my dear cousin Mara and her husband Jeff, who host the annual Thanksgiving feast and who just celebrated an anniversary which was a good excuse to get together. Unfortunately, we didn't realize that the diner on Main Street in Nyack only featured street parking, which was hard to come by, and we wound up parking a few blocks away which ordinarily would have been fine except, did I mention horrid hot? After lunch we took in the local farmers market, by which time Robin had been pretty affected by the heat so we hightailed it back to the car. Back on our side of the Hudson he felt well enough to accompany me relatively quickly through Stew Leonard's (which was right there on our way home), and we have now determined we're doing nothing and going nowhere tomorrow. But no regrets, we had fun! I love Rockland County and wouldn't mind living there someday if we could afford it, but I'm sure these terrible real estate agent photos (via BoingBoing) would not help.
