Silly Site o' the Day

Another Manhattan day done and dusted, but OMG it was just a bit too full for me. First Robin and I got our quarterly blood draw for our A1C numbers and such, then he walked me to the office so I would only have to schlep my laptop one way. Then naturally I had issues with my optical mouse, apparently the battery inside it had corroded the spring and I couldn't get it to work. Not more than ten minutes after our office services person worked his magic on it, one of my managing directors presented me with a surprise: a brand-new pink mouse (because I had admired hers so much)! After a bit of fussing wherein an in-house tech guy switched the two AAA batteries, I now have three working mouses (mice?), two optical and one wired-just-in-case. Packed up around 3 PM to schelp back to the medical complex for my annual physical. My doc and I discussed prescription tweaks, referrals to specialists, ultrasound on an area that shouldn't hurt but does, and I now have my work cut out for me with phone calls the rest of the week to set up more appointments, which is increasingly the way the older I get. I dodged the rainstorm on the way back to the bus thanks to lots of strategically-placed scaffolding, and made it home in plenty of time for the return of Alton Brown and Elizabeth Ingram's QQ YouTube series. So happy that's back, it really is a highlight of my viewing week. Time now to fall asleep to the New York baseball team winning over the other New York baseball team, but not before contemplating still more questionable t-shirts.
