Neither Robin nor I got much sleep last night, in a rare insomnia synchronicity. Nevertheless, he had the rest of the laundry to do, now that he established via doing my blankets yesterday that the washer and dryer were in working order. And I had to go into the Manhattan office. Work went fine, even had a nice conversation with one of the partners I support who opined that I shouldn't need to come in more than once a week at least until Labor Day, with which I of course concur - particularly after this evening's commute. Having arrived at 7:45 AM, I cut out at 4:45 PM thinking the early departure would help with the traffic situation. I couldn't be more wrong, and I got home two hours later. I'm busy folding laundry while watching baseball, both fairly soothing activities, but I'm still beyond exhausted. Robin did have a surprise for me; he finally halved our cable/internet/landline bill in a phone call to Optimum's customer service, and technicians will be coming tomorrow morning to install new equipment and remove the old. Our last bit of spring cleaning before official summer, I suppose. And because he's been making fun of my recent chicken obsession, here's a chicken purse.
